Cason Crane

Cason Crane is an entrepreneur, adventurer, and activist, and the first openly gay person to climb the Seven Summits - the highest mountain on each continent - including Mt. Everest. In his travels to over 100 countries and all seven continents, Cason has survived week-long blizzards on some of the world’s highest peaks, saved teammates from dangerous in-fighting in highly risky situations, and endured countless days of severe discomfort in extreme environments. He is passionate about combining his love for exploring the world with his desire to make it better, specifically supporting the causes of LGBTQ suicide prevention, combatting climate change, and improving access to clean water. Cason is also an avid endurance and adventure racer. He has several prize-winning finishes in ultramarathon and obstacle course races, and has completed half a dozen IRONMAN triathlon races in addition to dozens of marathons, open-water swims, hikes, climbs, and more. Cason graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with a bachelor’s degree in History in 2017, and after a stint at Bain & Company's New York office, founded his award-winning DTC coffee business Explorer Cold Brew (www.explorercoldbrew.com). Cason's unique vision for Explorer has catapulted it to be one of the fastest growing e-commerce startups in the country. When not off on an adventure, he lives in Brooklyn, NY with his fiancé Francis.
