Rona Mackenzie
Rona spent twenty years in education, working in six local authorities in an array of roles which included a full range of responsibilities across all facets of school leadership and management. Whilst working full time, Rona completed a Masters in Educational Disadvantage and SEN and a Doctorate in Education at The University of Birmingham. She holds the National Professional Qualification for School Leadership and the Professional Qualification for School Inspectors, conducting Ofsted inspections in the secondary school sector. In 2013, Rona was appointed as the founding Principal of Lincoln UTC and opened the new 14-19 college, socializing in Science and Engineering. Her work focused on the holistic development of students, enabling their personal, technical and academic growth. Rona returned to university in January 2017 and completed an MBA prior to moving into industry. She spent over three years as Chief Operating Officer for a luxury jewellery company, and subsequently worked in cyber security as Director of Business Development. In November 2021 Rona joined the Inspirational Development Group as a Senior Consultant. Rona’s role includes a focus on the next generation of global leaders, combining her passions for youth education, leadership, and talent development…it’s a dream job!
