Gena Cox

Gena Cox is an organizational psychologist, executive coach, speaker, and author who, for 25+ years, has advised executive leaders at Fortune 500 companies. She uses both data-based insights and stories to help executives understand the issues and nudge them to action. Gena believes leaders should be as confident regarding diversity and inclusion matters as other leadership focus areas like finance and marketing. Her forthcoming book (2022) defines the leader's role in building inclusive organizations. Gena delivers keynote speeches that get her audience to take action on her key issue: the under-representation of Black women in corporate executive roles. Gena holds a Ph.D. in Industrial & Organizational Psychology and is active in the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). She serves on advisory boards at the U. of South Florida and the U. of Tampa. Gena is a regular podcast guest and contributor to national publications, including Harvard Business Review.
