Dr. Stephanie Brown
Dr. Stephanie Brown has served in education for over 20 years. Her passion for education ignited when she was asked to teach a lesson on the spot in a classroom at an alternative school while completing required internship hours. The lesson went so well that the instructor insisted that she begin a career in education. And that is exactly what she did! Dr. Brown served as a director in early childhood programs. She taught in elementary school, and in middle school as an ESL Instructor. She served as an educational leader in post-secondary settings, a faculty member and director of English in higher education. Dr. Brown received her bachelor’s degree from Temple University, a masters in non-profit management from Eastern University and a doctorate degree in educational leadership in higher education from Wilmington University. Dr. Brown’s education combined with her passion motivates her to create educational materials that support educators, parents and students through her educational resource hub called I AM Educational Series. Through the I AM Educational Series, Dr. Brown’s mission is to ensure that students of color are represented well and see themselves in education and in children's literature.
