Joseph Feuerstein, MD

Dr Feuerstein was born in England and studied medicine at the University of London. He served as combat physician in two elite units of the Israeli Navy as Captain. He moved to the USA in 2002 and served as Chief Resident in Family Medicine at the Columbia University/Stamford Hospital Family Medicine Program. He studied for two years with Dr. Andrew Weil and is a Fellow in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona School of Medicine. He has been the Director of Integrative Medicine at Stamford Hospital, consulting in nutrition, hypnosis, acupuncture, botanicals and stress management to help treat chronic medical problems. Dr Feuerstein works as a medical teaching attending at Greenwich Hospital and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University in New York City. He is certified in Medical Acupuncture from SUNY Downstate and in clinical hypnosis through the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis. He also holds a license as a homeopathic physician from the State of Connecticut. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and posters, won multiple awards, and is a castle Connelly, New York and Connecticut magazine Top Doctor. He is the cohost of the Internet show "Condition Kitchen” on Everyday Health.
