Ilse Chaigneau is the Admissions Manager at the International School of Arizona. She welcomes families to come and discover this unique immersion school in the valley where each student learns to become a multi-lingual, global citizen with the drive, capacity and skills to positively impact the world. Ilse was born in Delft, the Netherlands, where she spent most of her childhood. In her teenage years, her father’s international career led her and her family to move to the USA, Germany and Switzerland. As an adult, Ilse moved back to some of these countries and lived in France for many years. Today, she speaks four languages fluently and is learning a fifth. Now living in Scottsdale, Arizona since 2017, Ilse is happily married to a Welshman who she met in Switzerland 23 years ago. Together they have two children: one attending ASU and the other following the International Baccalaureate program in high school. Ilse has a blend of professional experience in school admissions, marketing, communications, administration and project management. In her free time, she enjoys family time (RVing), reading, a good glass of wine, antique & vintage ‘picking’ and watching movies.
