Thomas C. Murray
Thomas C. Murray is a distinguished educational leader. Following celebrated years of elementary and middle school teaching and serving as principal at both levels as well as at the district level, he now serves as the Director of Innovation for Future Ready Schools, a project of All4Ed based out of Washington, DC. As an important advocate and voice for education, he has testified before Congress and worked alongside Congress, the Senate, the White House, the US Department of Education, and school districts throughout the country to implement student-centered learning. A best-selling author, Tom serves as a regular conference keynote and has received countless awards including the EdTech Digest “National/Global EdTech Leader of the Year,” the “Education Thought Leader of the Year," one of NSBA’s "20 to Watch,” and the Academy of Arts and Sciences "Education Policy Person of the Year." Tom has also written or been a part of writing six books including his most recent “Personal & Authentic: Designing Learning Experiences that Impact a Lifetime,” a lauded guide for designing awe-inspiring experiences grounded in relationships and learning that lasts a lifetime. Tom is passionate about creating cultures of innovation where teachers are empowered to create the types of learning experiences today's modern learners need to thrive. In addition to his extraordinary professional work, Tom is the husband of a beloved school counselor and the dad of two awesome children.
