Tim Fitzpatrick
Tim Fitzpatrick has a 30+ year career as a senior administrator in intercollegiate athletics, serving in numerous Division I programs. In 2018, he was named CEO of the Diamond Sports Foundation, which addresses access and diversity in youth baseball and softball by funding participation for socioeconomically-disadvantaged student-athletes. For the previous 7 years, Fitzpatrick served as Director of Athletics at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. On his watch USCGA athletics grew significantly in key areas, including a 5-year adidas America shoe & apparel agreement for their 23 NCAA varsity sports, a rebranding initiative, $8 million in major gifts to enhance facilities, and the first-ever athletics corporate partnerships with other national brands including Coca-Cola and USAA. He was a member of the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Committee from 2014-18, serving as Chair his final year. Prior to USCGA, Fitzpatrick served as Director of Athletics at Texas A&M–Corpus Christi and on the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Issues Committee, executing a strategic plan that increased department annual revenue nearly 40%. He held numerous athletics roles at Indiana University, U.S. Military Academy West Point, University of North Carolina-Charlotte, and University of Pittsburgh. Fitzpatrick is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, earning a BA in English, while lettering in football and baseball. He earned his master’s degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University.
