Ruhani Chhabra

Ruhani Chhabra is a junior from Northern California. She enjoys reading, writing, and listening to music. She has loved writing for as long as she can remember. She published her first novel, The Karris Family, when she was only ten years old. She has won many prestigious awards for her work, including The New York Times Personal Narrative Contest (she was one of 8 winners out of 11,000 global submissions), numerous Gold Keys from the prestigious Scholastic Art and Writing Foundation, and has read her winning essay to a delegation of over 1,400 people. She plans to major in journalism, which is why Be the Star You Are!® charity is a perfect opportunity for her to expand her public speaking and writing skills. Through being a reporter and host on Express Yourself! Teen Radio, she has honed her communication talents, a skill she uses when teaching. Her focus is on teen leadership and her radio segment is titled, Teenship.
