Andrew Houghton
Andrew Houghton is the founder and CEO of Disability Inclusion Solutions, a Disability:IN Certified Disability Owned Business Enterprise. He has been using a wheelchair since a 1986 motorcycle accident resulted in paraplegia. He is co-founder of iDisability™, a one-stop solution for providing enterprise-wide training on disability diversity and inclusion topics from interviewing, accommodating, and communicating with people with disabilities to digital accessibility, developing community partners in the disability community, disability supplier diversity, customer service, understanding the DEI and more! Disability Inclusion Solutions helps customers implement Human Centered Universal Design strategies that improve the usability, safety, and health of all users in the workplace. Internationally, Andrew has advised post conflict governments in Kosovo and Bosnia on disability policy and assisted them in developing and implementing sports and recreational programs that benefit their citizens with disabilities. Andrew has served as president on numerous boards for local and national nonprofit organizations and is a founding board member of the Global Universal Design Commission and oversaw the creation of current Universal Design standards. He has extensive public speaking experience, has been featured in print articles, and been a guest on broadcast and cable television shows. He has served as an appointee for Presidential and Gubernatorial administrations.
