Ayman Mukerji Househam
Ayman Mukerji Househam’s story started in the year 2000. To cope with the stress of a traumatic personal experience, she started meditating. Things started changing for her - she was generally happier and less stressed out. Her career on Wall Sheet also flourished. She became the youngest Managing Director of the company she worked for. Eventually, years later, Ayman realized that she wanted to teach the simple tricks that helped her in her relationships, work and even health! So she quit her Wall Street job to become a neuroimmunology researcher at New York University (NYU) and enrolled in the NYU clinical social work program. Ayman has several neuroscience papers on mindfulness interventions and book chapters on brain changes in autism spectrum disorder and epigenetic changes of mindfulness. She is currently doing a study with Harvard and Stanford Universities to identify gut microbe markers of stress-induced diseases. She teaches mindfulness-based micro-habit programs for Frontline Caregivers (i.e., medical residents/faculty members/students, physicians, nurses, therapists, physical therapists, administrative staff, etc.) at more than 25 U.S. and Canadian hospitals. Ayman’s program teaches micro-habits that teach busy Frontline Caregivers stress management without the time commitment of meditation.
