Mary Mitchell

Mary Mitchell received a degree in sawmill management from The Ohio State University in 1978, then was Wood Fiber Manager for pulp and paper mills in Puget Sound. Next, she was Wood Fiber Manager at a 50-megawatt wood-fired power plant in California. Then, District Manager and grant writer for a 1.7 million acre Resource Conservation District, putting millions into stream restoration. At night, she taught metaphysics, took ministerial training, and was ordained, receiving a Doctorate of Divinity in 2020. As Mary E. Schroeder, she wrote three books, including “Engaging Grace: How to Use Our Co-Creative Power in Daily Life” and “The Practitioner Handbook (1st and 2nd editions). As Mary E. Mitchell, she wrote four books, including “32 Easy Lessons in Metaphysics and the Science of Our Mind” and “My Search for Ancient Wisdom, One Prisoner’s Journey of Transformation.” Today, Mary's focus is on prison ministry, writing, speaking, teaching, and her weekly radio program, “Off the Shelf with Mary.”
