Elizabeth “Beth” Austin, MA, LPC, BC-DMT (She|They) is the founder and owner of Affective Movement Counseling, located in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Elizabeth has experience treating trauma, grief/loss, relational and identity exploration, anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders and body image with children, adolescents, and adults. Her treatment approach is a combination of dance/movement therapy, trauma informed/focused, interpersonal neurobiology, and Relational-Cultural Theory - blending somatic and verbal therapies to promote healing and integration of the mind, body, and spirit through curiosity, connection, and meaning. She has facilitated trainings with professionals including ACA’s Creativity in Counseling Conference, as a panelist for Body Brave’s Body Peace Conference, and volunteering with The Care Collective, providing counseling to front line workers during COVID-19 crisis.
