Dottie Laster
After receiving her Master’s at San Antonio’s St. Mary’s University, Dottie Laster studied arbitration at the Paris International Chamber of Commerce, then mediation at Budapest’s Central European University. She worked for YMCA International and was appointed to the US Attorney's Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance task force. While with this task force, she trained over 5,000 police officers and worked directly with victims. Selected by the US Attorney’s Office to be Department of Justice certified, she now trains law enforcement and others and provides consulting to businesses, investigators, attorneys and groups that serve victims of trafficking and prosecutes traffickers. She is the past Administrator of California’s Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force, has successfully written over $6.5 million in grants to combat trafficking and assist victims and currently serves as Executive Director of Million Kids.org a non-profit combating trafficking and child exploitation.
