Darryl Stallworth

Former Deputy District Attorney, Darryl Stallworth, went from an illustrious high school career where he was 4-sport scholar athlete of the year, student body president, & valedictorian to UC Berkeley as a 3-year starter for the CAL Bears varsity football team, graduating with a BA in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor from UC Davis and while there served as President of the Black Law Association. During his 15 years with the DA’s office, Darryl tried over 50 cases, 30 that were felonies including 18 murder cases and one death penalty case. In addition, he conducted 250 Preliminary Hearings and resolved over 10,000 cases. He is a past president of the Charles Houston Bar, is a Director of UC Berkeley Big “C” Society, is a member of the NCAA Gender Equity Certification Committee and a number of other professional associations. Currently he is an outreach coordinator for Death Penalty Focus Darryl has lectured on case resolution in Brazil, Malaysia, India, & Turkey.
