If the automobile industry can declare used vehicles as “Pre-owned,” then so can owners of thrift and second-hand stores regarding the goods they sale. Don’t think of it as a used washer. Think of it as a washer who was lovingly cared for and is now being passed on to the next family at a fourth of the original cost. Better to be in the second-hand store than in a landfill. Pre-owned stores feature furniture, large and small appliances, household items, tires, mowers, bicycles, and other pre-owned interesting stuff. Every trip is a new adventure of rare treasures and major bargains.
