I raised two daughters as a single father. It was both the most challenging yet the most rewarding experience of my life. It helped me to become acutely aware of the obstacles women face in many areas, be it health care or career choices or job advancement or starting and funding a business. I learned that the deck is often stacked against women. I want my daughters to have every opportunity to succeed and to be able to follow and achieve their goals and dreams. What I learned was basic things that one would believe are a given are not a given for women.
