For twins and multiples, the college process is twice (or more) intense than for everyone else, from deciding where to apply, doing college visits, writing essays, and figuring out how to pay for it all. We’re offering insight into how twins and multiples are treated in both the admissions and financial aid processes, and giving some tips for successfully navigating both. In Office Hours, we have a plan for seniors who want to attend college next fall but haven’t yet submitted applications.

Mary Sue Youn joined College Coach after many years in college admissions, most recently at Barnard College, where she served as the senior associate director of admissions. As the senior manager of the admissions staff, Mary Sue coordinated admissions recruitment travel, and trained and directed the application reading and review process. She chaired the admissions committee and reviewed thousands of applications from both firstyear and transfer admissions applicants. Prior to her tenure at Barnard, Mary Sue was an admissions counselor at Whittier College and directed the merit scholarship process for the college. Laurie Peltier

Laurie Peltier spent more than twenty years in financial aid at the college and university level prior to joining College Coach. She graduated from Bentley University with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, and completed her MBA at Anna Maria College, where she also served as financial aid director. In addition, she was an assistant director of financial aid at Becker College and has worked as a consultant with several other colleges in Massachusetts. She works with the Massachusetts Education Finance Authority (MEFA) as workshop presenter at area high schools and volunteers at several FAFSA Day events.
