Walter M. Bortz, M.D., is the author of “Dare to be 100” and “Living Longer for Dummies”. Dr. Bortz is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine and an emeritus specialist in Internal Medicine at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in California. He is a past president of the American Geriatrics Society, has co-authored more than 60 scientific articles in the medical literature and at the age of 74 years, completed his 34th marathon in 2004. Drs. Bortz and Bartnof discuss factors that enable certain people to live to 100 years.
