Cali Bird published her debut novel, a romantic comedy called Tales of the Countess, in 2020. Originally a music major, upon leaving university she ended up training to be an accountant. That led to a spell in investment banking before making a sideways jump to be a technology consultant. At the start of her career Cali ignored her creative side, which didn’t work out so well on the mental health front. Since 2001 she has managed to combine both business and creative pursuits.
