Apl.de.Ap is one of the original members of The Black Eyed Peas. The Black Eyed Peas have transcended their vigilant hip-hop roots and have become a global phenomenon, the likes of which the music world has rarely seen. Apl.de.Ap's life took a tragic turn when his younger brother Arnel died by suicide. This was a heart breaking event and Apl.de.Ap explains his life story in a song called "The Apl Song" found on the Peas' 2003 album Elephunk.
