Mary Woods & guest Reid S will discuss the treatment of dual disorders from a strengths perspective. If addiction is a chronic brain disease why do we discharge people when they are symptomatic? If we want the “credibility” of belonging to the medical model of treatment, we need to develop treatment interventions for people at all stages of change and for people who relapse.
