I was told this past weekend “we only want about 2000 square feet and we are on a tight budget, we can’t afford to use an Architect.” Large spaces can conceal bad design, small spaces expose the flaws. Most Architects conceptually prefer small homes and relish the additional challenge their design requires. As for budget, an Architect can be your best friend and/or your worst enemy.
