Professor Steve Szeghi spent his formative years, (from 15 to 25 years of age), with the United Farm Workers Union under the tutelage of Cesar Chavez, an activist farm worker, labor leader and civil rights proponent. Professor Szeghi learned important lessons on how to create transformation through acts of nonviolent civil disobedience so farm workers could receive fair wages and benefits.
