Rebecca Elliott is a Violin Maker, is Co-Director and teaches at the Chicago School of Violin Making. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Rebecca played the violin while growing up but realized that she did not want to be a performer. Instead, she studied music therapy at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee receiving her B.F.A. While there she was a violin student of Abram Loft, second violinist of the Fine Arts Quartet. In high school, Rebecca had read a magazine article about a violin maker and his apprenticeship program.
