One of Julia Kadish's favorite stories is about a situation that John Lennon faced as a child. He received an assignment to write what he wanted to be when he grew up. John wrote that he wanted to be happy. The teacher told him he didn’t understand the assignment. John told her she didn’t understand life. Julia contends that being happy is a choice.
