A tragedy occurred at the Cincinnati Zoo, when Harambe, an endangered species of gorilla, lost his life because a little boy's mother was negligent. A 3-year-old boy told his mom he wanted to go play with the gorillas. She told him, "No," but then turned and attended to her other children. Meanwhile, her son continued his plan to play with Harambe and fell into the moat. Though video of Harambe shows him being gentle and protective with the boy, the zoo staff shot the gorilla... not wanting to take any chances with the boy's life.
