Effective suicide prevention requires various approaches to provide support and hope. In this show, we will discuss evidence-based telephone follow up in crisis intervention and suicide prevention that keeps callers connected to care and committed to their own safety. We will discuss the many ways follow up programs can be implemented on a crisis hotline, using the experience of Response of Suffolk County in Long Island, New York as an example.
