David Hirzel

David Hirzel is an author, historian and small business owner. David has written a three-part biography of the polar explorer Tom Crean from Ireland, a key player in Robert Scott’s and Ernest Shackleton’s expeditions. The final book of this series, Antarctic Voyager, was launched at the South-Polesium conference in Scotland (May 2015). Sailor on Ice: Tom Crean with Scott in the Antarctic has been optioned for a documentary film due for release in 2017.
