After graduating from the collegiate school in NYC, Danziger found himself a Yale freshman recruit for the crew team, only to discover that he was not going to make first, second or even third boat. His humbling journey and the teammates he met along the way inspired him in 1990 to found The Steppingstone Foundation – an organization dedicated to preparing underprivileged and underrepresented students (2,700 and counting) for college.
