Keep that purpose and definition of success in mind as you make life and career decisions. The book “Bye, Bye Black Skin” by Janae Washington touches on the challenges young black women and girls have encountered and have to overcome. It’s an uplifting story about a young Black girl who goes to a predominantly other race school and is teased because she looks different. Her mother shows her how to overcome bullying and love herself and the skin she’s in. We may look different, but we are the same inside. Clarity is beautiful!
