When college students graduate, they have a grace period of a few months before they need to start repaying their student loans. As that grace period is coming to an end, we have some thoughts on getting started on the repayment portion. In other segments, we’ll discuss who should consider a gap year, and offer suggestions for next steps if you are deferred in the early round from any of your colleges of interest.

Lauren Randle comes to College Coach with highly-selective college admissions experience and secondary school counseling expertise. Her career began at her alma mater, Georgetown University, where she served as an assistant director of admissions, coordinated the alumni interviewing program, chaired the School of Foreign Service admissions committee and was the liaison for the women’s soccer recruitment process. Jeanne Mahan has significant experience in financial aid at the graduate and undergraduate levels. She was a financial aid coordinator at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and a senior financial aid counselor at Quinsigamond Community College.
