Jack Knowlton first burst on to the national racing scene when his NY-bred gelding Funny Cide won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes in 2003. It appears that his Sackatoga Stable has again caught lighting in a bottle with another NY-bred in Tiz the Law, who dominated the field in the G1 Florida Derby. With the Kentucky Derby now moved to Sept. 5 and the national stakes schedule in flux due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Knowlton said he is waiting to see how the Triple Crown race dates unfold.
