He further states persuasively that the FDA, which slows down and makes much more expensive the process of developing and distributing medicines, should be reformed by allowing it to ban medicines that are found not to be "safe," but allow us as customers to decide if they are "effective." He also makes a persuasive case that we should change from an income tax to a value-added consumption tax. (Tax consumption instead of income!)
