Alyssa came to Breast Friends in early 2019 as a volunteer. After spending a short amount of time in the office, she fell in love with the staff and community and decided to officially join the team as Events Coordinator. 2021 presented an opportunity to change focus a bit and work as Patient Support Coordinator, giving Alyssa the opportunity to work more directly with women we serve. She is excited to fulfill her goal of helping other women affected by breast cancer as it is something she planned to do from day one of her own diagnosis. Nathalie Huber

Nathalie Huber was diagnosed with TNBC in February 2019 at the age 36. She finished treatment and surgery in September and is awaiting reconstruction which has been postponed due to covid-19. Nathalie is a healthcare worker splitting her time between three Portland area hospitals working as a tech in a busy Emergency Department, and a Health Unit Coordinator for a NICU as well as a pediatric orthopedic post-operative unit. When she is not working or quarantined Nathalie enjoys spending time outdoors, especially on her kayak or at the beach and finding new restaurants or food carts to try.

Christine Poulin

Christine Poulin was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer at age 34 in November 2017. She is a stay at home mom of two boys ages 3 and 5 and married to her husband Paul. They have lived in the Portland area for about 5 years and moved from Seattle where Christine worked for a non profit called Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. They enjoy living in the Pacific Northwest and get outside each and every day, rain or shine. There are so many paths, rivers, lakes, ocean, and mountains nearby with so many outdoor activities to enjoy.
