Helen C. Erickson, PhD, MSN, AHN-BC, FAAN

Dr. Erickson is Emeritus Professor for University of Texas at Austin since 1997. She was officially honored with The University of Michigan Distinguished Alumni & University of Texas San Antonio Health Science Center Living Legend and American Holistic Nurses Association awarded her a Lifetime Achievement Award! In nursing school, she realized she had a unique view of nursing, which led her to the Nursing Theory of Modeling & Role-Modeling (MRM), a way of thinking about & applying knowledge/skills in practice. MRM is based on integration of Milton Erickson's work (her father-in-law), behavioral & basic science, research findings, her own clinical practice as a faculty member & independently.
