She will tell us the how and why they started Breast Friends together in 2000. Sharon, a certified Life Coach will then walk us through how to handle the stages of grief. Allison Hancock, Executive Director of Breast Friends, will join us and talk about how to honor Becky's legacy and move forward.

Allison is a 15 year breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed at age 40 and was living in Connecticut at the time. Though she felt she had a great support system, the one thing that was missing was being able to talk with other women who had navigated the cancer journey. When she moved to Oregon in 2012 she was so excited to have found Breast Friends and hear about the amazing support that they were giving women who had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Allison began her career with Breast Friends that year, first as a volunteer, and now as the executive director. She counts it a privilege and honor in carrying out the legacy that has been built.
