Bridget Baron

Bridget is a rising sophomore at TC Williams High School in Alexandria, VA and an advocate with and founding of the student-led organization Standing For Tomorrow. Her journey with advocacy began with the discovery of mushrooms growing out of the wall next to her seat in her seventh grade biology classroom. She would spend the next eighteen months researching the health effects of mold, assisting with the documentation of mold in her school building, writing emails and presentation scripts, and giving presentations in front of public officials at both the state and local level. Ben Delnegro

Ben Delnegro is a rising 10th grader at Alexandria City High School. He is a founding member of Standing For Tomorrow, a student-run organization that seeks to bring health and equality to schools all across the nation. Through his work with Standing For tomorrow, he has presented to many important figures at both the local and state level; gathered over 2,000 signatures from local citizens in support of the group's work; and received support and guidance from several important stakeholders and policymakers. Veronica Holguin

Veronica Holguin is a rising tenth grader at T.C. Williams High School. She is an active member of a student-led organization called Standing for Tomorrow. Veronica and her group collectively passed legislation forcing school districts to remediate mold in school buildings. This summer, Veronica will continue to lobby for the signing of Biden’s Infrastructure Bill including school buildings. She plans on studying environmental justice and political sciences in the future.
