Dr. Sikander Ailawadhi

Dr. Ailawadhi is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Mayo Clinic Florida located in Jacksonville, Florida. He is also the Lead for the International Cancer Center. Dr Ailawadhi's career focus includes the treatment of plasma cell disorders, including multiple myeloma. His research focuses on all aspects of multiple myeloma, including diagnosis and treatment, and clinical trials exploring new treatment options for multiple myeloma and other related disorders. Dr Ailawadhi has a special interest in understanding the disparities in care of cancer patients and their outcomes with a special focus on patients from different racial and ethnic backgrounds.

Jan Miller

Jan Miller is a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Mindful Living, offering mindfulness-based individual counseling and classes on stress reduction, self-compassion, mindful aging, mindful eating and more. She has worked in various capacities for Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit since 1999 and, more recently, for Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids. In addition to providing mindfulness programming for Gilda’s Club members, Jan facilitates support groups including the Multiple Myeloma group.
