The death of a grandchild brings about two major losses; the death of a
grandchild and the change of the relationship with our adult children.
Grandparents are often considered disenfranchised grievers; that is, society
does not recognize their grief and little support is available. Parents are the
focus and often the grandparent deals silently, or not so silently, and
awkwardly with the pain of the loss. Dr. Gloria Horsley welcomes Barbara
Weitzberg, LCSW to join in this discussion.
