January 26th 2006: French Smith: Dealing With Professionals: Death of a Troubled Child

French Smith is a national board member of The Compassionate Friends. His son, Stephen died in 1999, at age 23 of an unexplained anaphylactic prescription drug reaction. Thus began a father’s journey to find the cause of his son’s death and to hold his doctor’s accountable for their medical errors. His fight included exhumation of Stephen’s body in order to find the cause of his death. This is a powerful story of courage, determination and a father’s love for his son.
