Dr. David B. Morrell is a New York Times best selling author of twenty-eight books, including his award-winning “First Blood”, which introduced the world to John Rambo. Dr. Morrell’s father was killed during World War II shortly after his birth. He holds a Ph.D. in American literature from Pennsylvania State University and has taught in the English department at the University of Iowa. In 1986 his fifteen-year-old son, Matthew, died of bone cancer inspiring him to write, “Fireflies: A Father’s Classic Tale of Love and Loss”.
