Dr. Irv Leon, clinical psychologist, discusses what is unique about pregnancy
losses and suggests practical ways to deal with grief. Dr. Leon maintains a
private practice as well as teaching at the University of Michigan Medical
School. He is the author of “When a Baby Dies: Psychotherapy for Pregnancy and
Newborn Loss”. Dr. Leon's thirty years of clinical experience is complemented by
his personal losses including the death of an older brother during childhood,
his wife's three ectopic pregnancies, and unsuccessful attempts at IVF.
