August 16th 2007: How do I tell them? Talking to Children About Suicide

Carol Loehr, website manager of "Thegiftofkeith.org" and Juli Cosentino, a social worker, will discuss ways to talk to children about suicide and depression. Carol has recently written a children's book, My Uncle Keith Died, to help answer the questions children ask after a suicide. Carol's only son Keith Loehr died at the age of 29 years old by suicide. After Keith's death Carol began to understand the word suicide and began her journey in trying to educate others about depression and its deadly results, suicide.
