Looking at the recent trends of the NFL and colleges to promote QB's as the keys to the upcoming match-ups has this trend trickled down to impact high school sports? Jim Ellison

This is Ellison’s 2nd season at Arcadia; his overall record is 11 and 7. Under Ellison the Titans made it to the state quarterfinals last year and appear to be on track to make the playoffs again this year. Currently they are averaging 38 points a game which is a school record. The Titan defense is improving each week only giving up 7 points in their last two games.

Colby Kirkegaard

Colby is a senior QB at Arcadia High School. He has been the starting QB for the past 3 years. His career record at Arcadia is 17 - 8. Kirkegaard has put up some impressive numbers at this point logging approx. 4000 career passing yards with a 58% passing completion rate while adding 37 TD’s. He is considered as one of the top quarterbacks in the state.

Jordon McDonald

Jordon McDonald is a senior defensive end at Saguaro High School. He is a two year starter. His record since he has been on the team Saguaro 37-1. He is considered to be the best defensive end in Arizona. This year in five games he has ten sacks and thirty tackles. Jordon has scholarship offers from Arizona State University, Fresno State, Nevada State University, Idaho State, Colorado University, New Mexico, New Mexico State and Northern Arizona University.

John Sanders

John Sanders is in his third year as the Head Football Coach at Saguaro High School where he has won three straight state titles. The first two years he led the Sabercats to undefeated seasons. Coach holds the state record for wins with 37 and just recently suffered his first loss. 2008 football team was named a top 30 team in the United States by Max Preps the first time any high school in the state of Arizona has had that honor. Before coaching high school football Sanders coached at Boise State Univ., University of San Diego, Univ. of Colorado, U.S.F.L. LA Express and the Houston Oilers. Saguaros
