John Christensen has been a licensed marriage and family therapist in Brigham City, Utah for over thirty years. In 1987 his daughter’s Carrie, age 16, and Sarah age 14, were killed in the car train accident. Again in 1993, the unthinkable happened, when his daughter, Robin, age 16 died of Meningitis. John along with his wife LouAnn and another couple-the Handy's, whose daughter died in the same car-train accident, started a support group for parents who had lost children, which eventually led to our initiating a local chapter of the compassionate friends.
