Karen Knee is a bereaved parent whose son, James, 19, died in a car accident on July 8, 2003. She and her extended family (including surviving son, Robert), have worked to create a non-profit organization, Memory JAR, to help other families facing death – from funeral planning, to memorializing their loved ones and grief resources. Karen’s primary goal was to honor her son by helping others during this very difficult time.
