Don Quayle

Don Quayle was born and educated in Logan, Utah, completing two degrees at Utah State University. With his wife, Yvonne, also a Logan native, Don began his trek east by moving to Columbus, Ohio for study at Ohio State University. An association with WOSU-FM-TV in 1956 began a 35 year career in Public Broadcasting that would take him to Boston, New York City and Washington, DC. He worked for individual stations, regional and national organizations during that time. Soon after he moved to the Washington, DC area in 1970, he was chosen to be the first President of National Public Radio (NPR).
