Major General Jackson recently retired from the United States Marine Corps after 36 years of service. Prior to his retirement, Major General Jackson served as the Commanding General, Marine Corps Installations West. Major General Anthony L. Jackson was born in Fort Lewis, Washington. Before joining the Senate in 1978, Senator Warner served as Under Secretary of the Navy (1969-1972), and as the 61st Secretary of the Navy (1972 - 1974).  He served on the Senate Armed Services Committee for 30 years, and was privileged to be elected by the members as Chairman or Ranking Member during 15 of those years. John Castellaw

John Castellaw is a member of the board of the American Security Project and is the President of the Crockett Policy Institute (CPI) a non-partisan policy and research organization headquartered in Tennessee.
