Even the strongest climate change skeptics are aware of the cyclical nature of sea level rise. Encroachment of the sea is related to the melting of the ice sheets and the associated elevation of global water lines along our coasts. However, the earliest Americans populated the New World at the end of the Ice Age, at least 15,000 years ago.
